Today I have a question for you: Have you ever fucked up? Have you ever given an amazing presentation and right at the end, when everyone was really enthusiastic about you and your company, you messed up your sales pitch and scared them away? Have you ever made a risky move that simply didn’t pay off? Have you ever thrown away a business relationship that could’ve been extremely fruitful? Have you ever had a knee-jerk reaction which cost you an amazing opportunity, simply because you didn’t wait to respond? I’m sure you have, because we all fuck up sometimes. It’s human!!! The real question is, how do you handle these fuckups, and how do you learn from them? Do you skip to the next thing as quickly as you can and try to forget about it? Or do you analyze what went wrong, and how you can improve next time a situation arises. How do you learn from your fuckups? Firstly, since you know you’re going to fuckup anyway, use it to your advantage and just go for it. And secondly, as you don’t have time to do all the fuckups in the world yourself, we can help accelerate your growth by providing you with an opportunity to listen to other peoples’ fuckups, and maybe even share your own!!! The experience of sharing your story can empower you and give others a chance to learn without having to go through that specific fuckup! With all this in mind Jakko and I will be hosting a Business Blunders evening on Friday, 24th January at 17:30! Doors open at 17:00. Entrance to this event is free. So just reply to this mail and let me know if you’re going to be there! I will be speaking at the event, and we have space for two more people to share for about 15 minutes each. If you want to speak at the event let me know right away. It’s first come first served! What’s more is that when Business Blunders is finished at 19:00 you can stay and have dinner with us! Every Friday we celebrate Sabbath in our family, and on the 24th January we want to extend the invitation to you to come to our home and share food and wine (or juice) and deep conversations together in a warm, cosy and safe environment, with candles, a beautiful setting and deliciously home-cooked food. It really is a celebration of the working week and the transition to the weekend. It’s the transition from connection with the outside world, to connection with your loved ones. Celebrating our communion together and giving thanks for everything that is and everything that is still to come. The Sabbath rituals are free from any religious links, while retaining their loving, spiritual and inspiring powers. Our experience tells us that they lead to deep connections, meaningful conversations and expressions of love and gratitude in everyone who is there. To join us for our Sabbath dinner it’s only €50 per person, drinks included. We will go on into the evening as long as we want to. Our events are held in English as soon as there are non-Dutch speakers present, otherwise we can speak Dutch together. Speakers for the Business Blunders are free to choose to do their speech in Dutch, if they prefer. Here’s the link to buy your ticket for the Sabbath evening on the 24th January: Please make sure you sign up before the 21st of January, as we will be preparing the event and closing reservations at midnight of the 21st! I hope to see you at at least one of the two events! If you can make both, all the better! Let me know! All my love, veel liefs, Suze |
